where the questions began

I grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana, a city shaped by routine and familiarity. From a young age, I was the one who asked questions about everything, especially when things didn’t make sense. I was often told not to, that it was better to accept what you were told and move on.

When it came to health, that mindset ran deep. In my family, symptoms were managed, not explored. If something hurt or flared up, the answer was a pill, a shot, or another appointment. Prevention and root causes weren’t part of the conversation; most care centered on easing symptoms rather than uncovering causes.

For a long time, I saw my questioning as a flaw, a sign that I was difficult. But over time, I realized it was something else entirely. Asking questions was how I learned to advocate for myself when no one else did. That same persistence eventually became one of my greatest strengths and the starting point of a career built on curiosity, clarity, and care that looks deeper than the surface.

That search for understanding continued well into adulthood. Each new piece of information brought me closer to seeing how connected the body truly is, a realization that would later shape both my healing and my work.

my professional evolution

My professional journey began in dental hygiene, where I spent more than a decade caring for patients and educating them on oral health. I loved the work, but I often noticed patterns that didn’t make sense. Patients who did everything “right” still struggled with fatigue, tension, and discomfort. I saw it in them, and I felt it in myself.

I spent years searching for answers through multiple specialists and continuing education. As an adult, I went through a second round of orthodontics with palatal expansion to help with a narrow palate, along with various sinus procedures to address a deviated septum and nasal valve collapse. Each step helped in small ways but never brought full resolution, and I knew there had to be a deeper explanation.

That search eventually led me to Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy, where I completed my certification through Airway Circle. During my training, I discovered several structural and functional patterns including a tongue tie, a still narrow palate even after expansion, upper airway resistance, sleep apnea, TMJ dysfunction, forward head posture, and nervous system dysregulation. These findings finally helped me understand what years of care had overlooked. What began as a personal struggle became a turning point in how I viewed health, healing, and the body’s design.

These insights reshaped my approach to care. They showed me that sustainable change requires more than isolated treatments; it takes time, curiosity, and a whole-body perspective. I continue to grow through ongoing education with Airway Circle, the International Association of Airway Hygienists, the National Network of Healthcare Hygienists, and other airway and whole-body focused organizations to ensure that my work evolves with the field and truly meets the needs of my clients.

This evolving perspective became the foundation for how I now approach care, grounded in evidence, guided by compassion, and rooted in respect for the person behind the symptoms.

building myo warrior

Myo Warrior was created to reimagine what care could feel like: calm, collaborative, and guided by both science and story. After years of seeing how easily people could be overlooked in rushed or fragmented systems, I wanted to build a space that allows the full person to be seen, supported, and understood.

Every aspect of Myo Warrior was designed with that in mind. The virtual model makes care accessible and consistent, creating a safe and comfortable space to connect. Sessions move at the body’s natural pace, grounded in collaboration rather than correction. Progress isn’t rushed; it’s supported through understanding, evidence-based guidance, and trust.

My approach reflects what I’ve learned through both practice and lived experience: healing begins when we restore the body’s natural function and respect the person it belongs to. Myo Warrior exists to make that process possible, to help people strengthen the way they breathe, rest, and move through life so that progress feels steady, sustainable, and truly their own.

our mission: conquer oral fitness

At Myo Warrior, our mission is to guide each person in restoring balance within the oral and facial muscles by encouraging nasal breathing, a relaxed lip seal, optimal tongue posture, and an efficient swallow that together support lasting comfort and function in everyday life.

This process is not about perfection or speed. It’s about restoring coordination, building awareness, and helping your body rediscover balance through steady practice and guided support. Progress develops at a pace that respects your nervous system and helps new patterns form.

Here, healing is not hurried. It’s supported one deliberate breath, one intentional step at a time.
